Nyetimber and Bollinger have for many years been my go to English and French options but my visit to Gusbourne has made this very loyal chap defect!
Our visit to Gusbourne was fantastic. Anna who escorted us for our tour and tasting had truly exceptional knowledge, crafted over many years (of practice!) and driven by passion for her art, trade and product.
The Gusbourne site, tasting room and overall presentation is quality, and 'on point' but beneath this shiny exterior is real substance and depth.
Should you visit; YES.
Are they the best of the best; YES.
Should we as a country be supporting the best of our home grown produce; ABSOLUTELY.
One tiny, nit picking point... Please sort the potholes on the driveway- they are very difficult to navigate after a drink!
