More Than a Driver — Ahmed Made Our Morocco Trip Unforgettable!

We had an incredible experience with Pick Morocco Tours from the very beginning. During the planning and booking process, they were extremely responsive, reasonably priced, answered all of my many questions quickly, and accommodated every request we had. Everything was well organized before we even arrived in Morocco.
The highlight, though, was our driver, Ahmed. He spent seven days with us traveling from Marrakech through the Atlas Mountains and across southern Morocco to the Sahara, and he became so much more than simply our driver.
Ahmed made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire journey. He always had cold water waiting for us, expertly navigated the roads and police checkpoints, and shared stories and information about Moroccan history, culture, and everyday life as we traveled.
Some of our most memorable experiences were ones we never would have had on a large group tour. Ahmed took us along beautiful scenic routes that big tour buses simply couldn't access and gave us opportunities to meet local Berber and nomadic families. Those personal experiences allowed us to see a side of Morocco that felt genuine and went far beyond simply visiting the major tourist sites.
The drive from Marrakech to the Sahara is long, but Ahmed made the journey itself part of the experience. He broke up the longer stretches with bathroom breaks, scenic overlooks, photo stops, and interesting places along the way. We never felt like we were simply spending hours in a vehicle trying to reach the next destination.
Ahmed also communicated with our riads and accommodations throughout the trip to make sure every arrival and transition went smoothly. We never had to worry about where we needed to go, where we would meet someone, or what came next. He took care of the details so we could simply enjoy Morocco.
After seven days traveling together, it honestly felt less like we were being driven around by a tour company and more like we were exploring Morocco with a local friend.
If you're considering a private tour through Morocco, especially a journey from Marrakech through the Atlas Mountains, southern Morocco, and into the Sahara, we can't recommend Pick Morocco Tours and Ahmed enough.
