点评:My wife and I visited during our stay in Banyuls and were pleased we did. It is not the biggest aquarium with the first and second floors being the focal areas. The first floor is devoted to the history of the work done in and around the Banyuls coast and what is happening there today, some of which is not great given our mistreatment of the seas. The one drawback is that virtually all the information is in French which is not particularly good for non French or basic French speakers with us being the latter but we managed.
The main display tanks are excellent featuring fish and other marine life that populate the Mediterranean, be it the upper or lower reaches of the sea. The lighting of each tank made the colours of the marine life very clear and the variety was amazing. Unlike the other floor, all the marine life featured in the tanks had the English equivalent names on the display which would be a great help to non French speaking visitors.
Well worth a visit.
