From Danakil to the Simien Mountains: An Incredible Ethiopia Tour with Teddy Zion

点评：In November 2025, we went on an 11-day tour with Teddy Zion Tours to explore Ethiopia’s rich culture, heritage, and natural wonders. Our itinerary included a 3-day Danakil Depression tour, a day visiting Tigray’s rock-hewn churches, Lalibela, Gondar, 3 days of trekking in the Simien Mountains, and Bahir Dar with the Blue Nile Falls. The trip was packed with activities and involved several internal flights—but that’s exactly how we like to travel.
Teddy was incredibly flexible and made our trip come together perfectly. Although he fell ill upon our arrival, he still managed to take care of us splendidly. We never felt on our own—everything was well organized, which is no small feat in Ethiopia.
Our personal highlights were the Danakil Depression and the Tigray churches (absolutely stunning, but be cautious if you’re afraid of heights!). Along the way, we met friendly locals, visited places that exceeded our expectations, and were pleasantly surprised by how good the Ethiopian food and coffee were.
Overall, I can wholeheartedly recommend Teddy. He is not only a professional and well-organized guide, but also a genuinely kind person who will go out of his way to help you.
