Beautiful setting, but a very disappointing wine tasting experience

点评：The vineyard is in a lovely, peaceful setting with beautiful views, and unfortunately that was by far the best part of our experience. We were a group of 20 adults and children and had booked well in advance, so we were very surprised to arrive and find that seemingly very little had been prepared for us. We had to squeeze around a table that was not really suitable for a group of our size, and there was not even enough shade for everyone.
More disappointing was the tasting itself. We were not given any tour of the vineyard or explanation of the winemaking process, which is normally an important part of visiting a vineyard. There was also virtually no explanation of the wines or tasting notes. We were simply told the name of each wine and the grapes it was made from. The whole tasting felt rather flat and impersonal. There was very little enthusiasm when presenting the wines, and we never got the sense of pride or passion for the product that you would hope to experience at a vineyard. This made what should have been an interesting and enjoyable tasting feel more like simply being served a series of wines. Despite tasting a number of different wines, we were each given only one glass to use throughout the entire tasting. The quantities poured were also extremely small. Unfortunately, the wines themselves were not particularly to our taste. We had also booked the picnic, but the amount of food provided for a group of 20 was very underwhelming, particularly considering what we had paid.
We have been to many wine tastings over the years and have never had such a poor overall experience. With such a beautiful location, there is enormous potential here, but for a pre-booked group of our size we expected much better organisation, more generous hospitality and, above all, a more engaging and informative wine-tasting experience.
