点评：Not a welcoming place at all. We arrived at Tequila Cascahuín just before 2:00 pm on Wednesday December 3rd, to find only one other customer in the tasting room which we thought was a good thing! The woman behind the bar didn’t acknowledge us whatsoever—not a greeting, not even eye contact. We stood there politely, waiting for any sign of interest or basic hospitality.
After a few minutes, she finished selling a box of tequila and some stickers to the only other customer, who then left. We asked in Spanish if we could still join the 2:00 tour. She responded in Spanish that it was too late and instead of offering any explanation, she simply turned away and went back to whatever she was doing. No conversation, no courtesy, nothing.
And remember, we were the only people there. No crowd, no rush, no reason to ignore us. Sadly, it really felt like she assumed we were just another pair of Americans to brush off—something that seems to be happening more and more in tourist areas of Mexico lately. For the record, we’re Canadian, and we had traveled at considerable expense from Saskatoon to Puerto Vallarta and thenTequila and El Arenal specifically to visit this distillery.
We were genuinely interested in purchasing—and even potentially importing—their tequila to Canada. But the complete lack of respect or basic customer service made it very clear that our business wasn’t valued. A thoroughly disappointing experience.
