点评：For anyone who wants to explore authentic Italy, I very highly recommend employing Ad Pugliam as your trip designer and guide. Giovanna, Augusto and Mimmo organized a unique trip for our party of four. We had employed Ad Pugliam last year for our Puglia trip and we thought that trip could not be topped but our gastronomic/cultural excursion punctuated with water activities in the Tyrrhenian and Ionian Seas through the Calabria and Basilicata regions surpassed our expectations. Our very simpatico driver and host, Domenico Carfachia (Mimmo), had a very good command of English. Mimmo took us on an extensive two week tour of this undiscovered region of southern Italy. Always super-punctual, warm, patient and capable, he was the perfect guide and host. Mimmo knew the places to stop and eat (all of them!): small trattorias filled with locals and serving unique and very reasonably priced dishes-assortments of fish, meat, cheeses and of course pasta paired with wonderful local wines. True home cooking! He introduced us to celebrity chefs during the nights we did ‘fine dining’. Mimmo also introduced us to owners of local farms and we experienced the cultivation of local products from farm to table (punctuated with elaborate ‘tastings’). We experienced the making of Calabrian ‘Nduja, Tropean onions (amazing what flavor it adds to food)), a unique private pranzo of Calabrian anchovies prepared before us by chef Domenico Rosselli. We enjoyed excellent and incredibly priced local wines from the Zito vineyard and we met the three brother-owners, Francesco, Stefano, Valentino and even their mother, Signora Zito who delighted us with an excellent wine tasting (and wonderful food!). Mimmo even introduced us to two Italian movie stars who happened to be shooting a production (and we got a great pic as they posed with us-their cameraman actually took the shot!). This occurred on a mountain overlooking the spectacular port city of Maratea on the Tyrrhenian. Mimmo’s warmth, charm and passion always shined through. He genuinely seemed to delight in our discovery of this authentic Italy.

I lived in northern Italy many years ago. I have a passing knowledge of the language and I have explored Italy north of Rome extensively on my own. But I rarely experienced authentic Italy until Ad Pugliam. To anyone planning a visit to see Italy as a native experiences it, Ad Pugliam is a must. Already booked the next trip!

多年前，我曾在意大利北部生活过。我对这门语言只有一些基础的了解，也曾独自游历过罗马以北的意大利各地。但在体验了Ad Pugliam之后，我才真正感受到了地道的意大利风情。对于那些希望像当地人一样领略意大利魅力的游客来说，Ad Pugliam绝对值得一去。我已经预定了下一次的行程！
