My friends planned a tour here for us as part of a special weekend birthday surprise for me. We had an emergency and weren’t able to make it. Ended up being a rotten night which was a bummer, but nobodies fault, these things happen.
The business provides little option for communication - no phone number, an email they don’t respond to, for a service held at night in a place with no taxi service or public transport. Do not expect any country kindness from this team. We had just wanted to let the providers know we weren’t able to make it.
We heard nothing from the business after this time even a delayed reply to our email on the night. We got in touch again with some feedback on our experience - Geoff replied and was extremely rude. I’m disgusted. His lack of empathy and self restraint for was embarrassing.
All that was required was a simple ‘oh no that sucks sorry to hear hope we can see you next time’. Instead Geoff was curt and argumentative across several emails - he could not help himself.
You may notice a theme throughout the replies to any negative reviews for this tour - that it always seems to be the fault of the reviewer.
I doubt my opinion will hold any value to them - but for their own sake I would suggest the team does a course on appropriate public communications. They’re currently lucky they have access to an interesting property with history in a place with little else to do - I can’t imagine how the business would have continued otherwise with how they treat people.
Geoff claimed it would be rancid to leave a one star review, I would have left zero if I could.
