点评：every year I try to find something new for my bind sister to experience. I have taken her skydiving, parasailing, skiing both water and snow, and more. I was surfing the net looking for things to do in Tahoe. I came across Via Ferrata website and was immediately intrigued. I called them to see if they would accommodate a blind 74 year old female for rock climbing. They never hesitated to say yes and we had an enlightening conversation in which all my concerns were addressed. I booked a private tour with Mike. My sister was so anxious she didn't get much sleep the night before. After getting rigged up and some hands on guidance we started off at 9am. The climb was easy and their cable system makes it very safe for everyone. Mike was patient, and considerate as we had to go at a slower pace than normal. He explained every move to my sister and she managed to get the hang of it quickly. My sister thoroughly enjoyed it and bragged to all her friends how she checked off another bucket list item. It means a lot to blind people when they accomplish things that they have been discouraged from doing all their life just because they can't see. I definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a fun, fascinating, and enjoyable experience.
