Beautiful experience for anyone interested in trains!
1880 Train - Hill City Depot的点评
点评：We bought first class tickets in advance for back to back times. We left Hill City for Keystone at 9 am and were back to our car at the Hill City station about 2 hours and 15 minutes later. There was just enough time at Keystone to use the restroom.
This route goes along one of the steepest train grades in the United States along Tin Mill Toad and the narration (especially between Hill City and Keystone) provides interesting insight and helpful historical context. We found the cost of the first class tickets , although not cheap, to be tremendously worthwhile.
Feel free to decline the on train portraits if you don’t want 1 taken. We rarely do photos together so although expensive, having a nice photo of the experience was worthwhile to me.
They served warm popcorn on our trip: nice treat!
The available guidebook was a worthwhile read/purchase for us.
We had a derailment at the very start of a steam engine ride in Abeline in 2023 so it was an extra treat to get to take a full steam train ride today!
