点评:Did not disappoint!! After researching the area for our trip to see Badlands National Park and Mt. Rushmore, I stumbled upon information about Wildlife Loop Road in Custer State Park and after reading much about it, I knew we needed to take the time to drive through. Less than 2 hours from Badlands National Park, the scenery couldn’t be more different! Properly named, the views were breathtaking, but the best part really was the wildlife. From the moment we started through the park we saw deer, then came the pronghorns…Thennn the bison! The babies -or ‘red dogs’-were adorable & we were lucky enough to get some playing happily on video. The prairie dogs were everywhere!! And after much research on them, they were really cool to watch just doing their thing, living their little colony lives. My favorite, however were the ‘Begging Burrows’ a herd of wild donkeys that literally come up to cars and beg for treats! There was something interesting along every turn. This was absolutely one of the best drives I’ve ever been on in my life & if I’m ever back in the area would definitely do again!
