Worth Every Step
The Sound of Music Trail的点评
点评：I hiked this trail on a mid-October afternoon after visiting Burg Hohenwerfen. The starting point is located directly opposite the Werfen Tourist Office (about a 15-minute walk from the train station). Look for the stairs between two school buildings leading up to the church.
The trail is well-marked with plenty of signs along the way, so it’s quite easy to follow. It took me a little over an hour to reach the top, including a few short breaks. I’d rate the trail as moderately easy — there are some steep sections, but you’ll also find benches along the path where you can rest. I recommend wearing sturdy walking shoes (rather than sneakers), especially if the ground is wet from rain or snow.
The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking and well worth the effort. Whether you’re a Sound of Music fan or not, I highly recommend hiking this trail if you’re in Werfen. (The descent is, of course, much easier!)
Please note that the Tourist Office is closed on weekends, but the trail itself is always open.
