The Fenn Bell Conservation Project的点评
点评：Who knew that Medway had a zoo?
It was our visit today after seeing an advert on Facebook. And what a lovely few hours spent there this afternoon. Even though it was a really cold day we still did see most of the animals. It was very relaxed and possibly due to the time of year, quiet. I did notice they had a good amount of picnic tables outside to cater for more guests when it’s busier.
We walked around first, then went for food and a cuppa and did a final walk around afterwards. Food is cooked by the pub which the zoo is behind and I this was also good value for money, with an extensive menu and drinks selection.
We got there at 12.50 and left at 3ish. Had it not been so cold, we would have stayed longer.
Staff were friendly and we spoke to one of the keepers who was in the bob cat enclosure.
For the price, I was impressed. I’ll definitely go back, maybe spring time. If you have small children, I think they would really enjoy it as it’s not too big to walk around and keep their attention.
It looks like they are adding to their current collection with a tropical house opening at some point. All the enclosures looked well maintained and it’s great to see somewhere so local doing something to help with animal welfare and conservation.
