Sandy Hook: So much to do here all year long.

点评：Our go to for a beach day once a week all summer long and into the fall as long as the weather stays warm. It's great to visit all year long as well. There is birding to be had and seals to see in the winter, but back to this summer day. Plenty of different parking areas, although it is best to go during the week if you can. Traffic is heavy getting there in the summer and weekends are really tough. Plus, there is a line to get into Sandy Hook in the summer and a charge per car. It is run by the federal government and is a national park. It is quite historic if you want to take a walk around before spending time on the beach. The Sandy Hook Lighthouse is the oldest in the country dating back to Revolutionary War times. There are restrooms and bathhouses to change in. Sandy Hook is carry in and carry out so please take care of our natural areas and honor that. There are food trucks too, which generate trash. I don't understand that. Also, a restaurant at the tip of the Hook, moderately priced. You can spend literally, the whole day here till they close in the evening. The Park Rangers also have some organized activities.
