点评：Now that tolls are electronic one would expect traffic on the double span Chesapeake Bay Bridge to more more smoothly. We thought that would be the case as we got closer to the bridge on the Annapolis side where traffic was relatively light. Somehow that did not stop some type if psychological reaction by drivers who slowed down considerably at the entrance to the bridge. Fortunately movement picked up soon again. The shine of the winter sun doubled its impact reflecting off the water. There were choppy waves and no boats seen today. The contrasting construction styles of the two spans stood out clearly in the sun. Geese and seabirds accompanied us other journey. The floating Sandy Point Lighthouse was clearly visible. We were curious how this dramatic sceen might change if and when the discussed new spans are added.
