Mingus Mountain Area的点评
点评：I have been camping at Mingus Mountain for many years, I love the campground and it’s location. When it is hot in the desert, go up to Mingus mountain where the temperature is much cooler and comfortable. I left 100 degree weather to low 80’s on Mingus. The views looking down @ the city of Cottonwood are spectacular!
When you go to a restaurant, the server can be the difference between an enjoyable or poor dining experience. When you go camping, the camp host can be the difference between a great or not so great camping experience. Mingus Mountain has been blessed with Cathy, the camp host! She has had this position for a number of years and takes her responsibilities very seriously. I’ve observed her for years. She makes sure your site is clean and that the restrooms are clean and have toilet paper in them. She is friendly and can answer questions and give advice if if asked. She has a great personality!
This year, Mingus joined the national reservation system. I really dislike this decision! It is very difficult to plan ahead weeks and months ahead when planning a camping trip. For a 12 day camping vacation I had to change sites 4 times! Every day that I was there there were vacant sites where people just didn’t show up. I’m sure this is going to be an ongoing thing! Campers had to be turned away even though there were vacant sites.
