点评:So today I met a driver who works for this company whilst I was in Oban. I myself am a coach tour driver. In Oban there is a safe designated area to drop off and pick up passengers. Then drivers are required to go and park in the coach parking near Tesco.
When I returned for my passengers the driver of a Scottish routes minibus was parked in the drop off bay and was fast asleep behind the wheel. …and another minibus from another company was parked in the middle, which meant there was no space for a Coach at either side to be able to pick up their passengers safely.
I circled around the one-way system three times. Twice of which this driver saw me struggling to pick up my passengers which were all waiting. I had to block the road and put on my hazard lights which caused significant traffic buildup….. I approached the driver who had previously told one of my passengers to go away….. several of my passengers had mobility issues and it was a struggle for them to board my Coach from the road. I reminded the driver that this is a drop off and pick up only zone. He had already been there for 40 minutes before that.. he was very rude, arrogant and ignorant and had no regard for road safety and the safety of my passengers and the inconvenience caused by his negligence.
I called the company on the phone and they showed very little if not any empathy towards this dilemma. To me this speaks volumes about how things are run and managed . In my 20 years of experience and working with other coach drivers, this is the first time I have come across someone like that and I have never gone to the trouble to call the company to complain and go to the trouble of writing a review.
