点评：I turned another year older and decided the best way to celebrate was to drag my brother onto a kayak in the dark. Genuinely one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Rowan is an absolute gem of a human being — funny, warm, and so passionate about what he does that by the end of the night you feel like you've made a friend for life. A friend who happens to know everything about the bay and can spot a seal in pitch darkness, which is a very specific but thoroughly impressive skill.
The whole night felt like a dream. I was completely mesmerised by Rowan's storytelling, and the landscape was pure perfection. He brought the history and lore of the area to life so vividly that the time just flew by.
Sitting on the peaceful bay as the sun set was magical in itself — and then the bioluminescence. Trailing my fingers through the water, watching the plankton glow around them — hard to feel anything but gratitude.
