点评：Three picturesque Gothic churches at the pilgrimage site in Rosalnice stand one near each other, from north to south, they are dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows (Žalostna Mati Božja), Ecce Homo (the only one with a bell tower) and Our Lady of Lourdes (Lurška Mati Božja).
Even though the name literally translates as “three parishes”, all three churches are actually filial churches. In Slovenia that means, they are closed most of the time, holy masses, when at least one does open, are irregular and there is no nearby rectory (they belong to the Parish of Metlika) where one could ask somebody to open them for you. Nevertheless, roads and paths enable a walk around the entire complex, offering plenty of opportunities to take scenic photos. Unfortunately there are no hills or other lookouts around that could definitely enable spectacular aerial photos so you entirely depend on a drone, if you have one.
Regarding directions, don’t forget this is White Carniola, meaning very poor signs and you may entirely depend on navigation, as if people of Metlika were for some irrational reason ashamed of this fine cultural monument. Anyway, wherever you approach Metlika from, follow signs to “Center” until you all of a sudden spot signs to Rosalnice and/or nearby Božakovo. When you pass an industrial zone and cross the railroad near the Rosalnice rail halt (BTW, very few trains prolong their ride from Metlika to here), immediately turn left (signs towards Čurile and/or Svržaki), keep the mainmost road until you eventually notice the churches. The most convenient place to park is right near the morgue (before reaching the churches) or alternatively at another parking lot just west of the churches.
