We checked in at Coral but spent most of our time at Selection. 11/25/25- 12/03/25. Both resorts were extremely clean and very well maintained. The rooms were spotless, and overall we felt safe and relaxed throughout our stay. At Bldg 6 at Coral. This was my 15th trip to Cuba and my second time in Cayo Cruz, and the friendly people and beautiful beach are what keep bringing us back.
The pools at Selection were exceptionally well cared for — the cleanest I’ve seen in Cuba. Thank you to Julio (main pool) and Sariel (quiet pool - rest area ) for maintaining them so well, and to the lifeguards for being attentive. The Coral swim up Pool were good and place for older people. We preferred the Selection side because Coral was much quieter.
The main issue that needs urgent attention is the public washrooms near the restaurants and pools. They were dirty, smelly, had broken faucets, water leaking on the floors, and often no toilet paper. This was the only significant downside of our stay.
The beach is absolutely stunning — turquoise and sometimes emerald-green water with fine white sand. Seaweed varies by season, but staff work hard to clean it daily- manually.
We tried both buffets, but Selection offered a larger variety, especially more fruits. The food was good, sometimes repetitive, but you will always find something to enjoy despite Cuba’s limited supplies. Loved the morning omelettes! Bacon , Papaya/Guava. Plenty of drink options as well, though bringing your preferred alcohol from Duty Free is a good idea. Pack essentials like toiletries, medications, and snacks, as some basic goods may be hard to find.
The staff were warm and welcoming - All Bars and Thanks to All gardeners who offered Avocados and Coconut.
Special thanks to Manager Adriel, PR - Naylen, Chef Miguel, Carlos, Yusmel, Julio, and Sariel for making our 7-day holiday enjoyable.

目前最需要改进的是餐厅和泳池附近的公共洗手间。房间脏乱不堪，臭气熏天，水龙头坏了，地板上漏水，而且经常没有厕纸。这是我们入住期间唯一的明显不足。
海滩美得令人窒息——碧绿的海水，有时甚至是翡翠绿，配上细腻的白沙。海藻会随季节变化，但工作人员每天都会努力手工清理。
我们尝试了两家自助餐厅，Selection 的种类更多，尤其是水果。食物不错，虽然有时略显重复，但即便古巴的物资供应有限，你总能找到自己喜欢的。我特别喜欢早上的煎蛋卷！还有培根、木瓜/番石榴。饮品选择也很多，不过最好还是从免税店自带你喜欢的酒水。记得带上洗漱用品、药品和零食等必需品，因为有些基本生活用品可能不太容易买到。
工作人员热情友好——感谢所有酒吧员工，也感谢所有提供牛油果和椰子的园丁们。
