Very disappointing and unsafe experience - no lessons delivered

点评：I booked a surf lesson with this company and made it very clear in advance that I’m a beginner. What I got wasn’t a surf lesson...
They took me to Namotu Lefts, where the waves were far too powerful for my level. To be clear: bigger waves aren’t the main issue, the issue is that no one actually taught me anything. I was basically told to "just go out there and surf.” I tried, but it was clearly beyond my level and didn’t feel safe. After two scary wipeouts (under the wave for a long time..), I had to stop.
This was especially disappointing because I’d spoken with them about doing around 10 lessons over 10 days as my surfing trip in Fiji (this was 1 month before arriving in Fiji). They assured me this is okay and we can arrange that. In the end it became one day and then never again, because after that experience I didn’t trust them. When I asked who would be giving the lesson, someone was sent with me initially, but he quickly stopped because he was “too tired to surf,” and that was that, no instruction, no coaching, nothing.
My impression is that they mainly provide equipment and transport to breaks like Namotu/Cloudbreak, but no surfing lesssons? I felt misled and completely disappointed by this company.
On top of that, communication throughout was poor and at times came across as rude, when I got to Fiji.
I do NOT recommend this company to beginners looking for real surf lessons!
