Frightening experience with Cab Driver – trip to Kulu-Manali & back

点评：Me & my wife and son had planned to visit Kulu-Manali between 26th May, 2023 to 29th May, 2023 and approached “Travel Triangle” to offer their best in class “Himachal Tour Package for 4 Days & 3 Nights”. Mr. Saurabh Mishra was our Trip Advisor from Travel Triangle, who passed on the travel details to their trusted agent – “Holiday Device” to do the needful.
We requested for an “end to end” package from Delhi to Himachal and back.
Holiday Device prepared the itinerary (inclusions / exclusions) for us, arranged hotel stay at Hotel Lotus Inn – Rohtang view, and also arranged dedicated AC Sedan Cab for us, which would remain at our disposal during the entire trip. The holiday package was designed by Mr. Archit Saini / Sachin Rathore, who were the so called “Travel Experts” from Holiday Device.
On landing at Delhi airport we received a call from the driver and started our journey to HP. We were informed that it will take (+/-) 12 hours to reach the hotel. On our way to Manali the driver narrowly escaped four / five road accidents, out of which the first two could have been deadly. All were because of inattentive / unprofessional driving & violation of traffic rules at the crossroads, by the driver.
My family and me got so much scared that I was compelled to send whatsapp message to Holiday Device, complained them about the driver & requested them to change the driver immediately. At that time we were then at Haldiram’s Pitampura in Delhi itself, so changing the driver / vehicle could have been done very easily. The car was hired from Naresh Tour & Travels / Chaman Travels, but inspite of my repeated requests, Holiday Device did not take any action against the driver, nor showed any interest in changing him. Such unskilled, casual, inattentive, gossipy and risky driver is seldom found with any professional Travel Agent. We started from Delhi airport at 8.40 a.m. and finally reached the hotel around 12.20 a.m. i.e. after approx.16 hours ! We had risked our life several times before reaching hotel on the very first day.
I immediately decided not to continue with this driver for local Kulu-Manali sight seeing on the next two days, and accordingly was forced to hire a new driver from the Hotel Lotus Inn, incurring double expenses for the safety of my family. The travel agent’s car was idly parked inside the hotel for the next two days – while we travelled the city of Kulu-Manali in the new car. Every moment of distress, suffering and mental agony were reported to Holiday Device, but there was no positive response from them to resolve our problems.
While returning from Manali to Delhi airport, we again had to board the same car, & prayed to God to reach us safely to Delhi airport, However, within an hour from starting the journey, our car hit behind a Bolero…as the driver failed to apply the break on time ! Again at Narela Road, Alipur, Delhi the driver was intercepted by 4 no. traffic sergeants for traffic rule violation. He was pulled out of the car – and there were heated arguments between the driver & sergeants for about 15-20 mins. and we were all frightened and dumbstruck inside the car !
Finally, we could reach Delhi airport in late evening, but will never forget this horrible experience with the Travel Agent, car & driver throughout our life !!

从马那里返回德里机场时，我们又不得不坐同一辆车，祈祷上帝能安全到达德里机场，然而，在出发后的一个小时内，我们的车撞到了一辆波莱罗车后面……因为司机失灵了按时休息！再次在德里 Alipur 的 Narela 路，司机被 4 号车拦截。交通警员违反交通规则。他被从车里拉了出来，司机和警官之间发生了大约 15 到 20 分钟的激烈争吵。我们在车里都吓呆了！
最后，我们可以在深夜到达德里机场，但我们一生都不会忘记与旅行社、汽车和司机的这次可怕经历！
