What a find!
The Milbank Arms的点评
点评：A lovely historic pub in a well kept, pretty little village. Our room (Reading Room 5) was up a short flight of stairs and was tastefully decorated and had a really comfortable double bed. An effective radiator warmed the room in no time as the rain had settled in for the evening. Staff were all really welcoming and friendly but the best part was the top notch pub meal we ate downstairs. There was only a quite limited menu but the dishes were predominantly locally sourced, delicious, beautifully presented and plentiful. There was a really good atmosphere in the various small dining areas with several groups of diners, or couples, but plenty of space between tables. Breakfast the following morning was another delight with meaty sausage, the best black pudding I had ever tasted and some perfectly smoked salmon to go with creamy scrambled eggs cooked to perfection (two separate breakfasts for my husband and I!). Again the staff were so pleasant and helpful to us, and other diners. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt more like houseguests than customers. The pub, the food and the lovely village was a chance find that we thoroughly relished and look forward to enjoying many more times.
