点评:We visited today (14th Dec), the route starts at Troodos Square, there is a large free car park. Today there were only two cars in the car park and we only saw a few people during our time (not surprising as off season).
The route starts at the information board, it says 14km but my watch said exactly 8miles which is 13km when we finished. The route starts from the information board and finishes leading into the large car park opposite Troodos Square.
There are some restaurants, a shop and free public toilets in the Square. There is also a visitors centre but we did not go in there.
I think as long as you are relatively fit it's an easy walk, the surface is the same throughout and other than one part which was a little narrow (just need to pay attention when walking) it's fine. My friend has health issues which affect her back and knees and whilst at the end she was tired she found the route fine. We stopped regularly for pictures and a couple of comfort breaks and finished in 4 hours and 15 mins.
It is a hike therefore I would recommend walking/hiking shoes and general precautions when walking/hiking e.g. ensuring plenty of water, appropriate clothing (layers).
The route is clearly parked with km signs and quite frequently there are arrow markings confirming the direction. The paths are quite well worn so this is also a good sign of which direction to walk in. The route has gradual inclines and declines which are very manageable and I would say this is a relatively easy walk if you are fit. I saw a review saying people were taking pushchairs and getting stuck, I'm not sure why you would take a pushchair on a trail walk as the terrain is totally inappropriate for this.
The views are amazing and this route is well worth it. I would definitely recommend doing it.
