点评：We had an absolutely brilliant time at the Rum story in Whitehaven- a fascinating and immersive visitor attraction that exceeded all our expectations. From the moment you step inside the original 18th-century Jefferson's warehouse and offices, you're transported into a vivid journey through history.
The exhibition is exceptionally well laid out, taking you from a lush Caribbean rainforest and the stories of sugar cane and rum production, through the rum's role in maritime history, smuggling, American prohibition, and even life on board royal navy ships. It's both educational and entertaining - and accessible even if you not a rum enthusiast.
The attention to detail is superb - especially the original Jeffersons' office, which feels like a real step back in time. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We spent an hour exploring, learning and chatting with the team.
This place isn't just a museum, it's a story, an experience, and a wonderful piece of cumbrian heritage. Truly a hidden gem worth seeking out, especially on a rainy day or as part as a trip to Whitehaven.
