点评：A friend booked this tour for us, and when I say it 1000% EXCEEDED any and ALL exceptions we had for it, even that would be an understatement. Located in the mountains of Utuado, PR, getting to the office location is just the start of the adventure (get ready to feel like you're off-roading 😉), though the tour meeting location is very well marked and located across from a Native Puerto Rican ceremonial ground and easy to find. Our tour guides, Luis and Edwin were, genuinely some of the most knowledgeable, down-to-earth, and prepared guides I've ever experienced on any tour I've taken throughout my adventures so far. They adequately prepared and outfitted us for the adventure, made sure we understood what was lying ahead, and provided alternate options for participants as needed. We paid about $85 USD/per person (PR river caving tour) and what we got was a 5 hour ADVENTURE through the Puerto Rican mountains and jungle that is now cemented in my memory as one of the most unique experiences (in the most positive and best way!!) I've had to date. With the ~4 hour tour, 2 caves are highlighted, the first of which features your choice of a river tube or kayak to experience. On the hike down to the river, we were treated to just some of the immense knowledge of the local flora and fauna from our guides. I even learned how to distinguish a banana tree from a plantain tree just by looking! Our group featured 14 participants including 2 kiddos approximately 8 and 11 years old. That being said, this tour IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART! Breaks were plentiful, but when I say we were in the jungle, we were IN THE JUNGLE. Total hiking distance was about 3 miles (5km) and featured a suspension bridge, swimming, climbing, navigating several muddy/slippery surfaces. and Solid waterproof shoes with good traction are a MUST (seriously)!

Edwin and Luis, it truly was a pleasure to meet both of you! Thank you for great tour and day! I'd give you both 10 stars if I could!

*BONUS!* There's an amazing little cafe next to the tour office that serves absolutely delicious food!!
