Very enjoyable round of golf on a great course, friendly staff, all fairly chilled

点评：My son and I fancied a game of golf during our week’s holiday in Ibiza. I was a bit unsure as some of the reviews on Tripadvisor were not great. So we did not book in advance but popped in whilst nearby to see if it looked any good. The lady on reception was very helpful and explained the deal and allowed us to go and look at the course. It looked great and the VIP deal seemed ok so we booked for the following day.
For €300 we got 2x 18 holes, club hire, buggy, balls on the range, and €44 euros to spend in the clubhouse for lunch after the round. So it’s not cheap, but we were on holiday and it’s actually not much different in cost to other holiday courses in Europe. The course was great, really interesting, quite difficult, decent greens, we really enjoyed it. They weren’t so strict on tee times, we had time to go on the range etc, all fairly laid back - in a good way. We were waved through by a 5-ball, all very friendly. The buggy was fun and we could drive on the fairways etc
The one aspect which could have been better was the quality of the clubs we hired. They were fairly old and well used, it was the luck of the draw - eg my son got a 3 wood and I didn’t, but I got a 5 and 7 wood. The drivers and putters were a bit random. But hey, we weren’t there to win a competition, we were there to have a fun round, so it didn’t really matter. We had thought ahead and brought our own golf balls (they aren’t included, fair enough) and gloves and shoes with us.
The €44 voucher for lunch was enough to buy a couple of beers, a couple of bocadillos, and some fries to share, all good quality, the waiting staff were very nice and friendly.
So all in all a great day out which we really enjoyed, and would go back again. If the course purchased some new clubs for hiring it would be a 5 star review from us, everything else was top notch.
(And I won the golf 2 and 1!)
