点评:Probably the most unkept harbour in Cornwall
Driving into Charlestown from St Austell or via Duporth one is greeted with large aggressive potholes, approach the harbour and you are welcomed with a roundabout with two foot grass and weeds, the grass area adjacent to tail ships creamery is much the same, grass not be cut for several years, the old boat here has been removed, due to not being maintained, the pirate statue that once stood on the harbour was removed last year, the railings on the harbour sides are rusty and buckled and in need of repair and a lick of paint, weeds of several feet high grow just about everywhere possible. The left side of the harbour the road here is deep in potholes.
They say its to keep the heritage status, I wasn’t aware food huts and takeaway are part of heritage. The truth is it’s about making big profits with no expenditure, all this place needs is a little hard graft and common sense.
