点评:Severe delays on way out and an hour before arriving at Calais a text arrives warning of delays at the terminal for our return journey. No explanation other than unexpected capacity issues - the same excuse as on Thursday when we had significant delays of around five hours.
The terminal is a carbon copy of the Folkstone one and the information provided isn’t massively clear and LeShuttle staff are pretty non-existent.
The absolute chaos of border control was better than it had been in Folkstone and we did manage to catch our rescheduled train - previously at Folkstone we were sent to border control and trapped there for an hour and half missing not only our rescheduled train but the one after that too.
I’ve been a recent convert to LeShuttle after being a die hard ferry fan - I had a problem free return journey in January. But it seems from reading reviews that my experiences both ways for this trip are the more common experience which is making me regret my summer booking for August.
