点评:We love checking out bizarre roadside attractions like this one wherever we go. This one was a no-brainer, as it was only a 4-minute drive from our brunch outing in the nearby, vibrant Clifton neighborhood. We parked in an adjacent boat dealership lot. Since it was Easter Sunday, the business was closed, so we didn't have any problems parking there.
We spent under 10 minutes visiting this house facade in the middle of a roundabout. There was no one else there, and it was 100% FREE. Prior to visiting, I recommend reading up on the Heigold House, The Point neighborhood, and the 1855 anti-immigrant riot known as Bloody Monday. The owner and builder of the house was Christian Heigold, an immigrant stonecutter from Germany. Take note of the busts of Presidents James Buchanan and George Washington, and see if you can read the words "Hail to the City of Louisville" above the doorway.
