点评:Though currently on two crutches, I was ignored by the driver until I asked him to open the door which he did, from his seat, with bad grace. He then drove sullenly to my destination, a garage, to collect belongings from my about-to- be- scrapped car. On the return journey, it was the same man, unfortunately. I had specifically asked 1919 to ensure the cab came to the door of the garage office as I now had heavy baggage to go in the boot. A loud hoot informed me he had arrived and I had to open the door and call him for help which he was not pleased about, muttering 'how do you usually manage then?' He spoke not a word returning and when I asked him to put the baggage on my steps (a massive two-three yards away) he did so with a frown. I have used 1919 since its inception and this, together with a few instances of taciturn drivers in constant conversation in another language and no efforts to help at all, makes me wish for the good old days when 1919 was the best taxi firm in Stockport. Eheu!
