点评:It was fantastic! We should have done the full day tour. Teens, kids, adults would all love it.
Some in family didn’t want to do Ferrari museum, some didn’t want art museum, some didn’t want to tour churches, all wanted to taste yummy food.
We did the half day parmagiano and balsamic vinegrette tour.
Our family agrees that it was the best tour/activity/event we’ve ever done on vacation from 100’s of such events.
We toured a multi-generational cheese making factory making the dop Parmigiano Reggiano, from milk to curd to final aging place. Afterwards tasted 12-24-36 month parmiagiano, amazing.
Next we toured a mulitgenerational balsamic vineyard tasted 30 yr old balsamic, saw casks from centuries ago. Tried local Lambrusco.
The tour guide, Katia was so knowledgeable, friendly and fun. We should have asked her to plan the afternoon too. I was in a boot with cane and all was accessible.
We drove, short drive from Modena, I’m sure Katia could arrange transportation from Modena, Bologna or others. Or even ask her about agriturismo lodging.
We are deciding on when we can make it back.
