点评:This activity was included in our itinerary, and I have to say I was surprised when I read in the overview this was a 2-3 hr experience as it certainly didn’t feel like this.
We were booked in for 8:30pm which was not ideal, unsure why we couldn’t go any earlier but we were kept waiting (we arrived at 8:10pm) I can only assume there was a group before us, though it didn’t look “busy” with most people in the warm restaurant eating dinner.
We were taken to where the reindeer were waiting and told to select a reindeer - my partner steered me towards Oligarchy explaining he was the “best” looking one. I understood what she meant when we disembarked and saw he was one of 2 with intact antlers and looked like a “reindeer” should to unknowing out-of-towners lol.
The sleigh was warm and cosy with reindeer skins beneath us and over our laps - nice and toasty on a cold night. Again the sky was cloudy and no stars were visible, and certainly no chance of northern lights so it was a fairly unremarkable walk for 15mins in the dark around a well worn track.
The guides were friendly enough, the reindeer herder wished us goodnight stating he had a 100km trip back home and it was late 😳. We took this as our cue to leave.
