Nice view, good cafe
福冈塔的点评
点评：It's not remotely close to being the tallest building in Japan, but it still has a very nice view, and the price is reasonable. It was an enjoyable visit. At the time of the visit, the tower was not crowded, although the viewing deck is small enough that it might be crowded at times.
They have a cafe that serves desserts and light meals with a view, at reasonable prices. The food was good; I had their version of spaghetti with meat sauce. Probably the staff in the restaurant did not speak English, from what I can recall, but the menu had English translations and pictures of the food, so there was no problem ordering.
Access by public transit is a bit of a trek if you used the subway to Nishijin station (1.4 km), but by bus you can get much closer (about a 200 m walk to the tower).
The tower is right beside quite a long beach, which is a nice place to go for a stroll after a meal here.
