Enjoyable Tasting
Matosevic Winery的点评
点评：We had a wonderful visit to the Matošević winery for their Premium Wine Tasting, which included five wines plus a dessert wine, all enjoyed alongside a lovely platter of local meats, cheeses, olive oil, and bread.
We were warmly welcomed by Katie, who hosted our tasting with help from Rosie. Both were fantastic – friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the wines and the winemaking process. They provided great insight into how the wines are made and the philosophy behind them.
The winery itself feels very authentic and true to its origins. Tastings are held either in a rustic, cozy tasting room with a massive fire (perfect on a cold day!) or outside in their beautiful garden. We were also given a short tour of the winery, which gave us a nice overview of how the wines are produced.
We particularly enjoyed the whites – especially the fresh, vibrant Malvazija – and their version of Port was a lovely surprise at the end. Overall, it was a really enjoyable tasting experience with excellent service and attention to detail.
While the tasting is slightly more expensive compared to others we did during our holiday, the quality of the wines, the atmosphere, and the hospitality made it well worth the visit.
Highly recommended if you’re in the area and want a genuine Istrian wine experience! 🍷
