点评:My fellow companions from the Active Retirement Association visited these wonderful gardens last week and enjoyed every minute of our time there. Because we were a group coming from a distance the cafe, which was closed for the winter, was temporarily reopened to accommodate us. The home made scones we were served before embarking on a tour of the gardens were delicious. We had a wonderful guide who made the whole experience come alive. This gardens were full of snowdrops at this time of the year and I learned so much about them. As snowdrops are my favorite spring flower, I was in my element surrounded by 150 varieties of the species. I learned how to spot the difference between snowdrops and a similar species called snowflakes. Although it had been raining before our arrival it didn't dampen anyone's spirits. The entire gardens were magical. There is a shop there where one can buy plants for their gardens. I bought a few pots of snowdrops which are due to flower in the next couple of weeks. A first class day out for anyone who love plants and flowers.
