点评：It was a total 8 nights and 9 days tour, starting from Kochi airport and ended at Kochi. I reached Kochi from Kolkata on early hours of 29th November, 2025 via Bengaluru(Indigo). I reached Kochi on time along with my wife and Son, he has directly came from Delhi and joined with me at Bengaluru airport. The car (Ertiga) was waiting for us. I booked the car from Kochi Taxi 24X7 for the entire trip. The total contract value was 28500/- considering 1200 km. I started directly for Alleppy from the Kochi airport.
Day 1 - Night Stay at Hotel AJ Palace. (5500/- for a suite room, additionally I paid 950/- for early check in; normal check in time is 2 pm)
After reaching hotel we took 2 hours to take bath and all, then headed towards back water boat riding. I booked the boat through Alapppuzha Boat House at 12 pm for 4 hours. The total cost they charged was 3500/- without any meal. We really enjoyed the riding. The boatman was a local person, tried hos best to communicated with us. We took Kerala meal at one river side small eatery, but the quality was good and comfortable. We went to Alleppy beah and stayed there for 1 hour. Then come back to our hotel.
Day-2 - We booked a suite room in the hotel Cilantro by the Sea at Kovalam almost 1 km from the beach. But the beach and the Sun set were clearly visible from the room. We stayed there for 3 nights, We paid 16500/- including breakfast for 3 days. But there is no dining facility at the hotel. We reached Kovalam via Varkala beach, a must see beach for everyone.
Day -3 - We went to Kanyakumari directly from the hotel. It took almost 3 hours to travel. We went to Vivekananda Rock through Government boat, not much que at the ticket counter. It cost me 100/ per person. I do not suggest any advance ticket booking for this ride. This was truly a memorable journey. We decided not to stay over there. We reached Kovalam around 5 pm. We went to the beach and enjoyed quite a lot. This beach has an unique appeal I must say, specially after Sun set. There are plenty of restaurants who are mostly selling fresh sea foods. As we prefer veg dishes, we finally located one pure veg restaurant where the food was really delicious.
Day -4 - We went to Poovar lake to enjoy the boat riding. I previously booked the ticket through PoovarBackwaterCruise, they charged 2950 for 3 persons for 2 hours. It was really a fantastic journey, just like we were riding through the Amazon forest, memorable experience. The boat took us to one floating veg restaurant and we gave the order for the lunch, a little bit costly. I suggest to know the cost before giving order. After giving the order we went to the Golden beach. Here we found the merging of the river with the sea. One of the most beautiful place of Kerala. Finally we finished our lunch. The food quality was really good. We came back to Kovalam around 4 pm and went to visit the famous light house. From the top of the light house it was a panoramic view. In the evening we went to the beach once again to enjoy the evening before leaving Kovalam.
Day - 5 - Day - 5 - We started early from around 6:30 am from Kovalam because it was long stretch to Thekkadi from Kovalam. It took almost 6 hours to reach Thekkadi. The weather was very bad, there was constant raining. We booked the Keys Prima by Lemon Tree Hotel. The hotel was good and was full of guests. We paid 4255/- for Superior King Room including breakfast. We finished our lunch at hotel Saravana, very crowded, but quick service. The food quality was excellent. After that we went for boat riding that we booked online through KTDC, the ticket price was 1350/- for 3 persons. Unfortunately, the boat ride had been cancelled by the authority for bad weather. We went inside through their bus service and spent some beautiful moments inside the Tiger Safari Park. After that we did some shopping. We purchased some of the famous spices and homemade chocolates from the local shops. We finished our dinner at outside.
Day – 6 – We started around 10:30 in the morning for Munnar, the famous hill station of Kerala. It took almost 3 hours to reach. But the entire stretch was marvellous. We booked the hotel Oak Village, 13 kms before the Munnar city, the cost for 2 days was around 13000/- including breakfast.. It is a peaceful place. We stayed there for 2 nights. The hotel was really good and the service was excellent. The quality of food was also good.
Day 7 – We started early in the morning and went to see the Matupetty Dam. We have seen the beautiful tea garden in the valley. It was really one of the best scenic views I have ever seen. We spent few moments on the roadside and took snaps.We also visited one spice garden and purchased some ayurvedic medicines from there. Finally, we reached our destination, full of crowds. We decided to have a boat ride in the lake and really enjoyed. After that we tried to visit another Dam. Due to heavy traffic congestion, we could not reach. While returning we went to Ripple Tea Shop for purchasing some teas and coffees. After that we visited a chocolate factory and purchased some home homemade chocolates. The teste of the chocolates of Thekkadi and Munnar are good. Even the first quality leaf teas have excellent flavor.
Day – 8 – Finally we left the hotel of Munnar and started for Kochi. We booked the hotel near Kochi Airport, CASTELO INN. The hotel is 3 kms from the airport and it is really a nice hotel. We paid 5582/- for one night including breakfast. In the evening, we went near to airport just to spend some time. It was also a nice experience.
Day - 9- We left the hotel 8:30 in the morning for the airport and reached safely and on time. We reached Kolkata on time.
We really enjoyed the tour and all the hotel accommodation were good. I recommend these hotel for your future visit at Kerala.
