点评：me and my friends visited Milan at the end of October 2025. we decided to take the opportunity to visit Lake Como for a quick day trip. we took the train to Varenna from. Milano Centrale, the journey took about an hour. we travelled the day it was all cloudy and windy so we knew we wouldn't take the ferry to Bellagio. We weren't too happy with the weather, but we didn't let that stop us from exploring as much as we could in the region. we first walked from the train station to the lake and I was mesmerised by its beauty. we took a stroll around the little shops and cafes and decided to sit down by the lake and enjoy a nice cappuccino and some authentic tiramisu. we chose Bar II Moro which was just 5 meters away from the lake. the service was exceptional and the prices were friendly for a place like that. its worth mentioning that there are huge price differences between these little cafes even if they're next to each other. we then decided to wander around. we wanted to visit Villa Monastero but it was closed unfortunately. we ended up hiking, which we didn't intend to do but we wanted to visit Castello di Vezio, we just didn't know it would take about an hour by feet and that its so steep that we had to literally climb. the views from up there were amazing, we could see the lake in whole, in plus the castle and the garden were both gorgeous.
all in all, the bad weather shouldn't stop you from visiting this beautiful lake. if anything, it shows its true beauty in such weather.
