Perfect immersion in Mauritian culture and the beauty of the island!

点评：Staying at the Raj Adventures Hideaway was the absolute best decision we made for our holiday. For the price we expected a hotel room, but instead we received a superior, very clean and modern apartment with all the amenities necessary for us to enjoy the stay. After a long day of exploring, you can enjoy an evening in front of a massive smart TV with access to all the streaming services. But as we know, facilities are not everything. Our host, Shoba, is the greatest source of knowledge to explore the island, enjoy the food and avoid tourist traps. It felt like staying at a luxury apartment with a person who has the hospitality level of a loving mom. Our apartment has a massive terrace where you can enjoy your breakfast and dinner with a view of the mountains, sea in the background and the magnificent 7 waterfalls. The whole valley will treat you with a daily dose of wildlife and rainbows. Yes, I don't know how it is possible, but you can see a rainbow there almost every day! On the last day, Shoba offered to treat us to a Mauritian food platter, including delicious curry, roti and several types of sauces. Raj Adventures also offers several types of tours, including the 7 waterfalls tour that we picked. Our tour guide, Adit, was well spoken and a very knowledgeable guide who explained to us more about Mauritian culture, history and Mauritian fauna and flora. It felt like going for an adventure with your good friend, having great conversations and jokes. The hike was paced according to our interests in particular parts of the trip and our fitness level. Alongside the hike, we got an opportunity to swim in the small lakelets, get massaged by the waterfall streams, enjoy a natural fish spa, and try some of the forest berries and herbs outside the seasonal fruits that were offered to us by Adit. The whole stay would be described as a perfect immersion in Mauritian culture and the beauty of the island!
