Excellent driver for great, informative and well-priced tours of Madeira!

点评：My son and I toured Madeira with Leandro for four full days; our first day with him was great, so we decided to use his services for the rest of the trip : ) His English is excellent, he is very pleasant, and we learned a lot about life on Madeira (past and present) from him.
We wanted to do certain hikes, so we had him drop us off, then pick us up and take us to other sights or towns on the island, such as a local market, the gardens, and the natural swimming pools of Porto Muniz. He had the great suggestion of walking down the path in the nun's valley from Eire do Serra and he took us to many nice towns and viewpoints. His services are an excellent value for a private service. He is a careful, safe driver and he knows all of the roads very well.
Personally, I would not want to drive on the roads in Madeira. The roads are very winding and narrow, and on some two lane roads it isn't clear how a car going the other way can pass (you need to back up). Oh and sometimes there is fog so you can't see the road beyond a few meters. Or a big truck or bus coming the other way on a narrow road. Plus, the views are stunning and having someone else drive allows you to enjoy the views. Also, Madeira is busy and it can be difficult to park. In some places, if you have your own car, you may have to park far from a trailhead and walk along the road. I was very thankful to have Leandro driving us and it was a pleasure to spend time with him : )
