A RUN DOWN ESTABLISHMENT THAT IS CURRENTLY NOT WORTH A VISIT
胡卡养虾场的点评
点评：This was my third visit to the Prawn Park, although the last one was 11 years ago when we were in NZ last.
Since then it has seriously declined.
On the walk around there was only one breeding tank out of four with any prawns in it.
We took up the fishing package as we had done before. In 2015, we caught lots of prawns which we had cooked. In 2026, loads of small fish ate all the bait and there weren't any prawns in the ponds.
Out of a group of 12 or so people I think one person caught one prawn.
I gave up after an hour and when I told the guide it's rubbish now, all he could do was a nervous laugh.
Afterwards we went to the restaurant and ordered 3 prawn curries and one chicken curry. Unfortunately the poor girl who took our order didn't come across as the sharpest tool in the box and managed to not order the chicken curry. So that was late.
When I went to pay, the 'manager' asked if everything was OK and did we catch anything. When I told him no and that it was rubbish, all I got was another nervous laugh.
Right now, the prawn park is definitely run down and not worth the money. It has certainly gone to the dogs in the last 11 years and was the worst thing we did in our 4 day visit to Taupo.
Sad really.

我去结账的时候……那个“管理人员”询问一切是否正常，我们是否捕到了什么。当我回答说他什么也没捕到，那里根本没什么可捕的时，他只是又紧张地笑了笑。
如今，这个养虾园显然已经破败不堪，完全不值那个价钱。在过去的11年里它每况愈下，在我们为期4天的陶波之旅中，这绝对是最糟糕的体验。
真是可惜啊。
