点评：Beas River is like a necklace to Manali as its flow through main city and its travel parallel to Main highway and calls for many adventure activities. Looking that same through bus window and feeling such cool wind is memorable experience. Rafting is the most popular activities here. Many tourists also prefer camping on its banks.
The attraction of the river has been so great and the great sages Narad, Vashisht, Vyas,Prashar, Kanav, Parshuram and Vishwamitra came here on different occasions and meditated on the banks of this river.
The Beas River one of the prominent river in northern India, weaves through the landscapes of Himachal Pradesh and Panjab. Beas River name is derived from its sanskrit name Vipasha. The Beas river originates from the Beas Kund at an altitude of 14308 feet near the Rohtang pass from where it flows south through the Kullu Valley. Coming down the valley, it enters Punjab at Kapurthala and turns south and joins Sutlej River. The Beas river spans approximately 470 kilometers.
