Corfu Compass的点评
点评：I booked Corfu Compass Taxi for my airport transfer to my chosen resort for my solo summer holiday. The agreed price of €150 was to be paid at end of transfer journey. Upon my arrival at the airport, the taxi driver was waiting for me, smartly dressed and very friendly. A lovely welcome.
Upon arriving at my hotel i offered to pay with card. The driver stated he had forgotten his card machine so required cash. I stated I did not carry such a large amount of cash to pay. The driver said he would drive me to a cash point. I refused. I showed my bank balance with the funds to pay. The driver made a phone call and spoke to a male I believed was his manager. The manager explained Corfu Compass Taxi does not take payments by card, ONLY CASH. This was not stated at the point of my booking and the first i was aware. I apologised for the confusion. The manager kindly agreed that upon my return transfer I could pay by card the full amount owed. Not a problem at all. The driver would bring a card machine. All agreed. The driver remained totally polite, friendly and apologised for the confusion. All sorted...or so I thought...
During my stay I was informed by local greek business that despite taxis "preferring cash" they are now obliged to provide both card and cash options for the customers to pay in Corfu. As also seen in most restaurants. Everyone "prefers cash", but the card option should be made available. Especially with the use of mobile phones now for paying.
At the end of my holiday the same driver arrived, on time in a spotless vehicle, smartly dressed at my hotel. I had explained the payment situation to my hotel manager as I was a bit worried and concerned about my transfer back to the airport. The hotel manager kindly spoke to the driver in greek to clarify the agreement made. The driver stated he had not brought a card machine, but we would drop into somewhere on route so I could pay the fare by card and not to worry. I got into the taxi feeling reassured.
But this is where my journey changed... About 20 mins into the transfer, a phone call came into the driver and he passed the mobile phone to me. I said 'hello' to greeted by a female voice screaming abuse in broken English down the phone line about not paying for the taxi. I was utterly gobsmacked. I tried to explain i had made an arrangement after the 'cash/card confusion' with the manager to pay by card on route to the airport and this was still the case. The female yelled hysterically down the line" I AM THE BOSS!!! I AM THE BOSS!! Continued to yell irrationally about not paying. I could not even speak or get a word in to explain anything. It was difficult to even understand her abusive language . What I did hear clearly was her final departing words to me upon hanging up ... " The driver should dump you on the side of the road and you make your own way to the airport. How would you like that" !!!!!
I was utterly horrified. What an atrocious way to speak to a customer. I handed the phone back to the driver. I was visibly upset and now very worried I was not going to make it to the airport. Just awful
The driver stopped as promised before the airport at a taxi depot and I paid by card. No issue at all. Fully paid as I arranged and promised .
The driver apologised profusely again as he could see i was shocked and upset by the phone call. As he correctly commented the issue arose at the booking stage. At no point did they state CASH ONLY upon booking. The company website it does not state cash only either.
The taxi driver I can not fault. Lovely man, engaging, chatty and provided a professional taxi service. Thankyou
Sadly, whoever that female was is an utter disgrace to the company. Totally unprofessional and rude. I am a regular visitor to Corfu. I would not wish for any customer to be subject to that abuse,irrelevant what the confusion maybe, especially a lone female traveller.
Sorry, I will not be using this taxi firm again or recommending.

假期结束时，还是那位司机准时驾车前来。他的车干干净净， himself也穿着整齐得体。我因为有些担心回机场的接送事宜，所以事先已向酒店经理说明了付款方面的情况。酒店经理友善地用希腊语与司机交谈，以确认双方达成的协议。司机表示他没带刷卡机。不过我们会在途中在某个地方停车，这样我就能用卡支付车费，也就不用担心了。我安心地上了出租车。
然而，我的旅程就在此时发生了转变…… 乘车约20分钟后，司机接到一个电话，随后把手机递给了我。我说了声“喂”，电话那头立刻传来一个女人的声音，她操着蹩脚的英语怒气冲冲地骂我没付出租车费。我彻底惊呆了。我试图解释说，在发生了“现金/刷卡混乱”之后，我已经和经理商量好在去机场的路上用卡付款，现在情况依然如此。那位女子在电话那头歇斯底里地大喊：“我就是老板！！我就是老板！！”接着又毫无逻辑地大喊着“没付款”之类的话。我甚至无法开口解释任何事情。她的脏话也几乎让人听不懂。不过我能清楚听到的是，挂断电话前她对我说的最后几句话……“司机应该把你丢在路边，然后你自己想办法去机场。你觉得这样行吗？！！！”
我吓坏了。用这种语气跟顾客说话也太恶劣了。我把电话还给了司机。我当时明显心烦意乱，还非常担心自己赶不上去机场的航班。真是糟糕透顶。
司机按照约定在机场旁的出租车集散处停车，我用信用卡付了款。一切顺利，完全符合我事先的安排和承诺。司机再次连连道歉，因为他看出我因那通电话而既震惊又难过。正如他所说，问题出在预订环节——他们在预订时根本没提及“仅接受现金支付”。公司网站上也并未说明只收现金。
这位出租车司机无可挑剔。他是个很好的人，风趣健谈，提供了专业的出租车服务。谢谢他。
遗憾的是，那个女员工简直是公司的耻辱。完全不专业且粗鲁无礼。我是科孚岛的常客。无论出现什么样的混乱情况，我都不希望任何乘客遭受那样的对待，尤其是独自旅行的女性。
很抱歉，我不会再使用这家出租车公司，也不会向他人推荐。
