Bernard: The Man Who Made Ireland Even More Memorable

点评：There really aren’t enough words to express what an incredible job Bernard did touring our group around his beautiful country. 🇮🇪
First of all… 35 people. One bus. Two weeks. 😂
And somehow, Bernard survived us all!
His knowledge is absolutely impeccable, and his patience deserves a medal. He was kind, welcoming, funny, and somehow managed to make 35 people feel like guests in his own home.
Our itinerary was already planned with all the stops and destinations, but Bernard was constantly looking for those little opportunities to make our experience even better. If he thought there was a sight, a view, a story, or a hidden gem we would love, he found a way to squeeze it in.
And the food stops! ☘️ He went out of his way to arrange special snack stops to accommodate everyone’s needs and made sure this two-week adventure was as comfortable as possible.
But what really stood out was his passion for Ireland.
You could feel it every time he told us a story about the history of his country. His pride, knowledge, and love for Ireland were absolutely palpable. And when it came to politics and some of Ireland’s more complicated history, he was incredibly respectful and thoughtful in the way he shared his knowledge.
And then there was the driving… 😂
Watching Bernard maneuver a full-size tour bus down roads that appeared to have been designed for one tiny car and a bicycle was nothing short of spectacular.
There were definitely moments when I thought, “Well… this might be where it all ends.” 😂
But Bernard never flinched.
He navigated those impossible roads, tiny villages, tight corners, and questionable-looking spaces like it was just another Tuesday.
His personal touches, his humour, his patience, his kindness, and his genuine desire to make sure everyone was having a wonderful experience made our trip truly unforgettable.
If you are travelling to Ireland and planning to tour this incredible country, look Bernard up.
Seriously.
He will exceed your expectations.

但最令人印象深刻的，还是他对爱尔兰的满腔热情。每次他给我们讲述自己国家的历史时，都能感受到这一点。他对爱尔兰的自豪感、了解与热爱简直溢于言表。而在谈及政治以及爱尔兰一些较为复杂的历史时期时，他分享知识的方式又显得极为谦逊且周到。还有开车的环节……😂
看着伯纳德驾驶着一辆全尺寸的旅游巴士，在那些似乎只为一辆小汽车和一辆自行车设计的道路上穿行，真是壮观至极。
确实有那么一些时刻，我心想：“嗯……这里可能就是终点了吧。”😂
