We had an absolutely wonderful experience at EleJungle in Jaipur and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
We booked directly through WhatsApp before our visit and arranged a two-hour experience for two people for £100, which included an elephant ride, feeding, garlands, walking, painting and a pedicure. Everything was included as promised, with no unexpected charges. We felt it was excellent value for money.
Our beautiful elephant was Rahna, a 32-year-old female, and her mahout was Prakash, who helped make our visit so memorable.
We were particularly impressed by the care and attention shown towards Rahna. The staff explained that they have 32 elephants altogether, with only 10 working at any one time to allow the others to rest. We were also told that a vet visits every Saturday to check the elephants’ health and wellbeing.
It was wonderful to get so close to Rahna, feed her, walk alongside her and learn more about these magnificent animals. We came away feeling that she was extremely well cared for.
The whole experience was relaxed, enjoyable and very special. Everyone we met was welcoming, and we have some fantastic photographs and memories to take home to England.
A huge thank you to Prakash and everyone at EleJungle for such a memorable experience. One of the highlights of our holiday in Rajasthan!
