Turoa Ski Area的点评
点评：Turoa has the potential to be something amazing but just isn't there yet.
If your a beginner boarder, I would 100% stick to Whakapapa as the beginner area at Turoa is tiny and the beginner intermediate slopes are not appropriate and are more advanced intermediate than actual beginner. So if you can't stop or turn this isn't the field for you.
The tracks are icy and although the terrain is beautiful its also incredibly dangerous if done wrong. There is only one entry and exit into the tracks however you need to be aware because the main walking entry into the beginner area is also the stop point for people dropping down off the more advanced tracks to get to the chair lifts, be warned people come off those tracks at pace and i personally watched people get bowled over. Because there are so many people walking across the fields it causes divots in the snow affecting a smooth riding experience The staff are super hit and miss. Some are absolutely lovely and others act like you shouldn't be there which really brings the vibe down especially with the cost of everything.
Mid week day passes are about 80 dollars but there are lots of very expensive added costs. It was 30 dollars to hire a locker, the food is insanely expensive and there are no rubbish bins around the area so people end up leaving their rubbish on the slopes, once again lowering the vibe. The amenities were always a mess and smelt bad when i walked in and I got there just as the fields opened.
Bonus there's a bar in the lower cafe.
Unless you are a confident rider and comfortable with sharp turns and oodles of people everywhere i would not recommend Turoa for you.

工作日的入场券大约80美元，但还有许多极其昂贵的附加费用。租用一个储物柜就要30美元，食物的价格也贵得离谱。而且周围根本没有垃圾箱，于是人们只好把垃圾留在滑雪坡上，这再次拉低了整个环境的氛围。每次我走进去时，那里的设施都乱七八糟且散发着难闻的气味。我到达时正好是滑雪场开放的时间。
值得一提的是，下方的咖啡馆里还有一家酒吧。
除非你骑行技术娴熟，能从容应对急转弯以及拥挤的人群，否则我不推荐你去图罗阿滑雪场。
