点评：Koivuranta Sauna Ferry (Koivurannan saunalautta in Finnish) operates as a walk-in public sauna from the beginning of May to the end of September (adults 12 euros / 1.5 hours). The public wood-heated sauna is open every day and every evening if they haven't private events or public sauna ferry cruises. Most certainly the public sauna is open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Sundays. Check opening hours on their webpage. You don't need any prebooking if you are coming into the public sauna in the summer. Take your swimsuit with you because women and men use the same sauna. Besides, you may swim in the river.
Sometimes (about once a week) they have public sauna ferry cruises (2 hours, tickets 39 euros, children 30 euros). Prebooking is recommended. It is also possible to rent the whole sauna ferry for a private cruise.
If the sauna ferry is in the port, it operates as a public cafeteria. They specialize in fresh waffles which are very delicious. They also rent SUP boards, motor boats and floating AuroraHut igloos. Igloos are good both for staying overnight in the port (starting 149 euros/night) or for river hopping (265 euros/night). River hopping is available until October 14th. This must be an unforgettable experience!
We didn't rent the private sauna ferry or the floating igloo. We only enjoyed the public sauna and delicious waffles. Walking or biking from the city center to Koivuranta Sauna Ferry and back is a nice excursion. The riverside route is very nice. The distance from the market square is 3.3 kilometers in one way. Enjoy sauna and waffles and then walk or bike back to the city center. If the sauna ferry isn't in the port, there are a cafeteria named Koivurannan kahvila and a beach named Värtön uimaranta next to the port. So you can enjoy at least those facilities.
I really love having sauna in the excellent sauna of the sauna ferry. I will remember this during cold winter months!
