点评：Gustavo and I recently had the opportunity to travel to the Uyuni salt lake and the REA (Reserva Eduardo Avaroa) in the western South Bolivian Andean region. This breathtaking area features high-altitude deserts, volcanoes, geysers, hot springs, and coloured lagoons—White, Red, and Green—that shimmer with otherworldly beauty. The silence across these vast landscapes was profound, and the vistas, framed by distant peaks and endless skies, truly felt as if we were exploring another planet. The presence of significant lithium reserves added another layer of interest to the region. The wildlife was the constant testimony that we were still on planet Earth.
Our adventure was made all the more memorable by the expertise and warmth of our guide, Jenrry, from Jallalla Bolivia Tours. I am deeply grateful to him for his knowledge and friendly disposition throughout the journey. Despite travelling through remote deserts and facing challenging conditions at elevations above 4,300 meters, Jenrry ensured every aspect of the trip ran smoothly and was professionally handled. The meals, considering the rugged environment, were consistently excellent and always served on time.
Travelling with Gustavo and sharing these moments together made the experience even more special. At the start of the trip, we met Jenrry as our guide; by the end, we parted ways with a friend. This journey reminded me of how remarkable and diverse our planet truly is.
