点评：Nandankanan Zoological Park is a premier large zoo of India. Unlike other zoos in the country, Nandankanan is built right inside the forest and set in a completely natural environment. The animals are housed in enclosures with greenery with a feel of real forest and live with no fear or apprehension of becoming the hunter's prey. It is the first zoo in India to join World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) in 2009 and has Botanical Garden also. Separate ticket to be taken to visit it.
Zoological Park timings- April to September (07.30 hrs. to 17.30 hrs.); October to March (08.00 hrs. to 17.00 hrs.); Zoological Park remains closed on every Monday. Recommended to reach early to beat the sun. We had taken Battery Operated Vehicle ticket to move inside the zoo along with Zoo Ticket & AC Safari Ticket (o4 Safaris). It took us more than 2 hours to see popular Zoo animals & do the AC Bus Safari. More time needed to cover the zoo, or one can do the Safari only. One can avoid Battery Operated Vehicle (BOA) if want to walk inside. Your BOA driver drops you at entry point of a section of animals and picks you at exit point of the section after defined time. This way you save your energy and time & able to see.
