点评:Went to Puerto Plata the week of November the 16th. Prebooked the waterfalls tour for the Wednesday (19th). They took my money and emailed the pickup time and voucher.
We cut our Tuesday evening short so we would be up in time to have breakfast and meet the bus.
The pickup time was 8:50 am. We waited until 9:10 until started calling and emailing Nexxus with no response. Finally at 9:40 I got an email stating the trip was cancelled and if we could rebook for the 22nd. That wasn't an option so I asked for refund and maybe an inconvenience voucher. No response for a couple days. I got my refund but nothing else. Had I cancelled with less than 24 hours I would have lost my entire payment.
This is not a review of the excursion itself. We managed to book through a local agent and went the next day. The trip and guides were amazing.
When we did take the excursion I spoke with the operator about what happened with Nexxus. He told us Nexxus cancelled because they didn't have enough participants. Apparently they do this ALL the time.
Cancelling is one thing but no notice and having to figure it out myself is unacceptable.
